【Summary】
Kitāb-i Ḥuqūq al-Milal is the first Persian translation of modern international law. The Persian version was produced between 1269–1271 A.H. based on an Ottoman Turkish translation, itself derived from the German work Leitfaden des positiven Völkerrechts (1833).
The present edition collates the Persian, Ottoman Turkish, and German texts and is divided into two sections: the law of nations in times of peace and the law of nations in times of war.
