【Summary】
Majālis is a collection of spiritual discourses, subtle reflections, and symbolic expressions attributed to Jalāl al-Dīn ʿAtīqī Tabrīzī, a Sufi master and poet of the Ilkhanid period. The content was recorded by his disciple Abū al-Majd Tabrīzī between 712 and 718 A.H. and later incorporated into the Safīnah-yi Tabrīz in 723 A.H.
The work comprises twenty-two assemblies, each dated, which Abū al-Majd subsequently organized into sixty-seven distinct sections according to his own editorial judgment. These discourses are rich in imagery and metaphor, interwoven with Qurʾanic verses, prophetic traditions, and both Arabic and Persian poetry. The text stands as a valuable document of Ilkhanid-era Sufi pedagogy, oral transmission, and literary aesthetics.
