【Summary】

The National Archives of Pakistan in Islamabad, established in 1951, houses a major collection of manuscripts and printed materials. Its manuscript holdings are divided into a general collection and a private collection. The general collection contains 107 manuscripts in Persian, Arabic, Urdu, Dakhani, Pashto, and Punjabi, while the private collection known as the Mufti Fazl Azim Behiravi Collection comprises approximately 2,000 manuscripts in Persian, Arabic, and other languages.

This volume presents a detailed catalogue of nearly 1,500 Persian manuscripts from the private collection. The catalogue is organized into two main sections: composite manuscript collections and individual treatises and books. Entries are arranged by nineteen broad subject categories, and alphabetically within each category. As one of the most extensive catalogues of Persian manuscripts preserved in South Asia, the work constitutes an essential reference for the study of Persian manuscript culture, intellectual history, and textual transmission in the Indo-Pakistani region.
