【Summary】
This work is a collection of personal notes and historical records written by ʿAbd al-Ḥusayn Khān Malik al-Muʾarrikhīn, also known as Lisān al-Salṭana, concerning major events in Iran between 1314 and 1324 A.H., during the reign of Muẓaffar al-Dīn Shāh Qājār.
The author provides a detailed account of political developments as well as the economic and social suffering of the population. As a committed constitutionalist and patriot, Malik al-Muʾarrikhīn was actively involved in publishing critical newspapers and articles in the late Muzaffari period, including Āyina-yi ʿAyb-numā, Vaṭan, Shāhanshāhī, Āzādī, and Ṣafḥa-yi Rūzgār.
The work is an important primary source for understanding late Qajar society and the intellectual background of the Constitutional Revolution.
