【Summary】
Mīrzā Shams Bukhārāʾī served as a court secretary to the Manghit rulers of Transoxiana. Due to his close contact with the court, his presence in major events, and his direct knowledge of political affairs, he produced a detailed history of Bukhara, Khokand, and Kashghar. In addition to political narratives, the book explores the social, religious, and military life of the people. It is likely that the second part of the text was added by the Russian publisher Grekryev. The Persian version used here was translated by Muḥammad Ḥasan Khān Yāvar from a Russian edition.
