【Summary】
This work is a detailed study of the sciences of maʿānī, bayān, and badīʿ, encompassing all rhetorical rules and literary techniques. It critically examines the views of classical rhetoricians. Although composed during the post-Mongol period—a time when Persian prose had declined in linguistic purity, showing features such as heavy Arabic syntactic influence, adjective-noun agreement, and reduced attention to Persian grammatical norms—the book still demonstrates a mature and scholarly prose style. Its structure and exposition are notably influenced by al-Taftāzānī’s al-Muṭawwal.
