A Persian translation of Ḥājjī Khalīfa’s chronological world history. The book records major global events from the beginning of creation to 1085 A.H., with special focus on the Ottoman realms, Iraq, Arabia, and Iran. Some later entries (1058–1085 A.H.) appear to have been added by the anonymous Persian translator.

【Summary】
This work is the Persian translation of Taqwīm al-Tawārīkh by the Ottoman polymath Ḥājjī Khalīfa, author of the celebrated encyclopedic work Kashf al-Ẓunūn. The text lists significant global events chronologically, beginning with the creation and continuing to 1085 A.H. Much of the material concerns the geographical zones of the Ottoman Empire, Iraq, Arabia, and Iran. It is likely that the final sections, covering the years 1058–1085 A.H., were added by the Persian translator. The work is a valuable source for Middle Eastern historiography.
