This volume presents a selection of writings by Ṣafāʾ al-Ḥaqq, an influential intellectual figure known for his wide-ranging interests and activities. In his youth, he was involved in the Constitutional Movement and later spent several years traveling abroad, including three years working at an English hospital in Bombay, where he became familiar with modern medical practices alongside traditional medicine.
After returning to Iran, he served as a licensed physician and a mobile public health officer in rural areas around Hamadan. Beyond medicine, Ṣafāʾ al-Ḥaqq pursued deep studies in literature, mysticism, and belief systems, and was also familiar with music, painting, and embroidery. He composed ghazals in the Indian style, reflecting the breadth of his cultural and intellectual engagement. The selected treatises collected here offer valuable insight into the life and thought of a multi-talented Iranian intellectual of his time.
