【Summary】
This volume catalogues the Persian and Arabic manuscript holdings of the Minassian Collection, assembled by the late Karō Mīnāsīān (1898–1973). In 1972, the manuscripts were transferred from Isfahan to the University of Oxford and deposited in the Ferdowsi Library at Wadham College.
The collection comprises 959 titles preserved in 662 single manuscripts and 108 composite volumes, encompassing a broad spectrum of subjects including jurisprudence, theology, philosophy, literature, history, mathematics, poets’ biographical dictionaries (tadhkiras), astronomy, and medicine.
The cataloguing was carried out in consultation with leading Iranian bibliographers — Īraj Afshār, Aḥmad Manzavī, and ʿAbd Allāh Anwār — and gives meticulous attention to bibliographical, codicological, and reference features, making this catalogue an essential research tool for scholars of Islamic and Persianate manuscript traditions.
