【Summary】

Thawāqib al-Manāqib Awliyāʾ Allāh is a revised and selective reworking of Manāqib al-ʿĀrifīn by Shams al-Dīn Aḥmad Aflākī, completed in 947 A.H. The work constitutes a major source on the life, virtues, and miracles of Jalāl al-Dīn Muḥammad Rūmī and seven members of his family and close circle.

Compared to Aflākī’s original compilation, this text is arranged in a clearer structure and employs a more accessible prose style. The author revises, interprets, and moderates a number of Aflākī’s reports, offering a more methodical and refined narrative. Long overlooked in Mawlawī studies, this work is published here for the first time in a critical edition based on three dated tenth-century A.H. manuscripts. The editor provides an extensive introduction on the author and the significance of the text within Mawlawī literature.
