This work presents Khwāja Naṣīr al-Dīn Ṭūsī’s renowned commentary on Ptolemy’s Thamara (sometimes described as a summary of Tetrabiblos, the earliest and most influential text on judicial astrology). Among the various commentaries written on Thamara, Ṭūsī’s interpretation is considered the most well-known. Although the subject of the text is astrology, Ṭūsī approaches several passages from a philosophical perspective, offering both scientific and metaphysical insights into Ptolemy’s teachings.
