Original Title: Sharḥ al-Qabasāt: al-Muʿallim al-Thālith al-Mīr Muḥammad Bāqir al-Dāmād
A major philosophical commentary from the Isfahan School, authored by Mīr Sayyid Aḥmad ʿAlawī, son-in-law and student of Mīr Dāmād. Written at his teacher’s request, the work explains the deep metaphysical arguments of al-Qabasāt and clarifies difficult passages. It is among the significant texts of Safavid philosophical thought.
This commentary, authored by one of the distinguished figures of the Isfahan philosophical school, elaborates on the metaphysical foundations proposed by Mīr Dāmād. Based on direct instruction and under the order of his teacher, ʿAlawī provides a structured explanation that clarifies complex expressions and philosophical arguments.
